Salud de la Mujer (Women's Health)
The purpose of this program was to create community-developed materials in the format of a fotonovela to increase health literacy in the Latino community.
Latina women are in need of health literacy through a format that is easy and recognizable for them and at the same time rich in information regarding health matters and resources in the community. A fotonovela is a tool which tells a story about a particular aspect of life through pictures.
