Student Success

"Abriendo Puertas is not only a program to help students improve their professional skills but also a program that allows students to create long-lasting relationships with the advisors and professionals that attend events. Without the Abriendo Puertas program, I would not have obtained the soft skills necessary to take on leadership roles in my student organizations and would not be in the position that I’m in today to succeed in my field of study."

– Antonio Martinez (Marquette University, 2017)

"Abriendo Puertas has helped me connect with many professionals in my field of study and it also helped me secure the internship that I have today."

– Adriana Cordero (Marquette University, 2016)

"Prior to joining the Abriendo Puertas program, I always felt nervous initiating conversations with working professionals. Today, with the help of Abriendo Puertas, I feel a lot more confident in my ability to network."

– Joel Lopez (UW-Milwaukee, 2016)
