The Health Research Department implements activities and programs from multidisciplinary fields of scientific investigation that study how social factors, health care inequities, and personal behaviors affect the health and well-being of Latino individuals, families, older adults, and the greater community.
Our aim is to use evidence-based research and related activities to help create healthier, stronger individuals and families, and, in turn, a healthier and more well-informed Latino community in the greater Milwaukee area. We collaborate with academic investigators and other partners to conduct community-focused research.
